  • 200 Clock Hours (90 Hours from Teach Level or Instructor of Teaching Level may apply)

  • 700 clock hours with 10 observations/conferences/ written reports or 500 clock hours with 15 observations/conferences/ written reports or 350 clock hours with 20 observations/conferences/ written reports
  • 150 hours from an MSLE course may apply

  • Two completions of a structured, sequential, Orton-Gillingham based curriculum
  • Experience with students of various school levels and ages
  • Experience with one-on-one as well as small group (preferably no larger than 6) situations
  • Documentation of academic language therapy experience

  • A two year internship at a center offering a structured, sequential Orton-Gillingham based program
  • observation at all levels in a continuous two-year training cycle, including basic-introductory and advanced courses
  • participation under supervision of a Qualified Instructor in all facets of therapy training including:
  1. Lectures
  2. Practicums
  3. Record keeping
  4. Preparation for classes
  5. Teaching demonstration lessons
  6. Ten guided evaluations with written comments
  7. Ten independent evaluations with written comments
